Website for Now 10th Anniversary
Interactive crowdsourced voting campaign and promotional hub created for EMI Music Portugal celebrating 'NOW 10 Years' — the 10th anniversary commemorative edition of the world's most successful pop compilation brand.
1. Crowdsourcing a Decade of Pop Anthems
For over a decade, the "NOW That's What I Call Music!" brand stood as the gold standard of pop music compilations in Portugal, consistently achieving multi-platinum sales. To celebrate the franchise's 10th anniversary milestone, EMI Music Portugal commissioned Transglobal to design an interactive voting platform where fans, rather than record label executives, directly decided the definitive tracklist for the commemorative physical release under the banner: "NOW 10 Years — You Choose the Best Songs of the Decade!".
From Digital Ballots to Platinum-Selling Physical CD
The campaign bridged online community voting directly into physical manufacturing: the most-voted songs submitted by fans were mastered directly onto the official NOW 10 Years double-CD release distributed across all record stores.
2. Voting Mechanics & Social Gamification
The voting hub turned pop music enthusiasm into a high-frequency viral loop:
- Interactive Pop Ballot: Fans cast votes for their favorite pop anthems across the decade, selecting from iconic artists including Britney Spears ("...Baby One More Time"), Evanescence ("My Immortal"), Anastacia, Kelly Clarkson, Amália Hoje, Amy Winehouse ("Rehab"), Coldplay ("Yellow"), Black Eyed Peas ("Shut Up"), Lady Gaga ("Just Dance"), Alicia Keys ("No One"), and U2.
- Social Testimonial Wall: A live community quote feed where fans explained their musical memories (e.g. "Music feeds our dreams, life, and happiness... 'No One' is living proof of that.") and shared their voting cards across social networks.
- Grand Giveaway Contest: Voters were automatically entered into a high-value prize draw featuring €1,500 in shopping vouchers and a collector 150-CD super discography library containing the best bands of the decade.
3. High-Conversion Visual Identity
Designed with high-energy pink and magenta festival graphics, vibrant typography, and clear social sharing prompts that generated massive web traffic across teenage and young adult demographics.
